Summertime

Happy Easter, been off this week but so busy that only managed a few cards. Been taking my daughter to dance practice and then show was at the weekend. She loved it, i found it stressful-very disorganised back stage!!
Still did this card, had some free papers from a magazine, and a new digidownload image to play with. Had some new promarkers so looking forward to using them and trying to blend!

Card for my Mum

My lovely Mum died last year and this year will be the first Mothers Day without her. I was asked at work to make some Mothers Day cards so while i was busy creating i thought i would make Mum a special card Even though she isn't here i still wanted to make something special and we don't have a memeorial for her so i have nowhere to go to take flowers, so made this for her to go next to her ashes.
Miss her more now than ever!
Sentiment was from my goody bag and flowers from Wild orchid- bit bigger than i thought they would be when i ordered them !

Been playing around with some free Nitwit papers from a magazine, unusually for me i added lots of bits- not sure if it worked that well, but like how the colours coordinated.

Another girly card, loads of flowers, gems, glitter and gloss. Had great frun with Lucy doing the crafts today, but we're both very messy !

Another schoolfriends birthday

Its a really damp and dreary day in Derby so good excuse to stay indoors and craft.
Lucy has been invited to another party but a boy this time so time for a boys card. Much prefer doing cards for girls, but have lots of boys papers to use up and am trying to not buy anything at the moment. (Although I did find a lovely craft shop called Crafty Ways and left £30 lighter!!!)

Life is pretty stressful at the minute so shut myself away today in my peaceful house and crafted.
The image is a digidownload coloured with promarkers and added on some stickles red glue and some glossy accents. Used my cuttlebug for the letters.

Congratulations, you're pregnant

Hi, had great fun making cards this weekend. Got 2 friends who are pregnant, so downloaded this digi image from Pink Petticoat to use and matched it up with pink and blues. Had some free papers to use from a magazine which i think really worked. What do you think?
Back to work tomorrow but hubby on nights so when i am off Tuesday i have to be quiet, so no housework for me- : )

Happy Retirement

Have also done this card tonight for my Uncle in America who is selling his business and retiring to live by the lake near Dallas. Heaven!!!

I've got a blog-exciting!! Not really sure what i'm doing but am sure will get the hang of it

I love cardmaking, but like most people struggle to find the time to do it as much as i would like.

Had my first go at making a stepper card today, my first card in 2011.Bit fiddly but think i did OK.
Made it for a colleague at work, hope they like it!
Will post some more over the next few days.
